Still haven't finished scanning my negatives, since I'm such a lazy bastard. I'm working again though at my old place (some of you might remember some pictures). In the mean time, I got some new rolls back. I'm afraid I have to torture you guys now with some very mediocre and boring frames. Nontheless...
Some fish food in a supermarket. I was kinda suprised to see it there, even more surprised that it was very delicious.
An old frame from my visit, remember the digital frames?
Also an old frame, same as the digital ones.
Dito.
Sometime on my way back home obviously.
Bahnhofsstrasse. This reminds me of some night last week, I was walking to the mainstation with a friend of mine, when we saw a car stopping on the Bahnhofsstrasse (there are no cars driving there, just trams). The European Cup was still going on, so it wasn't very outrageous to see a foreign driver with his car confused in Zurich. But then he suddenly yelled: "IS THIS THE BAHNHOFSTRASSE?" So I yelled back: "YES!" He asked again: "THE FAMOUS BAHNHOFSTRASSE?" - "YES!" - "THE REAL BAHNHOFSTRASSE IN ZURICH? THE ONE AND ONLY???" Haha, I had a good laugh.
Waiting. How much time do we spend waiting in our lifetime? Hmm...
Don't really like this one, I should have made another approach (maybe show more of his face, I dunno...)
*Not being in the mood to be photographed, jerk*
He was waiting for his taxi, he could barely walk...poor guy.
My aunt and her husband came by for a visit. And her husband made me a very very nice present:
Zeiss Ikonta 75mm f/3.5 incl. leather case. Both in as-new condition. I've already shot two test films, I'll post them in my next blog entry, along with the testfilm of the Leica IIIg + Summarit 50mm f/1.5, which my father bought mint from Ebay.
My mother, mixing her chinese health drink, I dunno, it's supposed to help her because of the accident she had (she's still having pain).
My aunt.
Then we all went to some town rather in the mountains. Thought this was quite a nice scene.
A week later, I decided to go spend some days in the mountains at a friend's house...
On my way, being very bored, what results in photographs of sleeping people...
Hell yeah.
That's how it looked like from the station near where she lived...I had to wait there almost an hour.
View from the bedroom.
Saw this while walking around in that little village. It says "To stay always sexy..." in Swiss German.
Then I switched to some Portra 160 VC. Yes, that's her.
View behind her house...
...and another one.
You don't really see that in a big city ;)
Then we visited a very old and good friend of my father. She's already 94!
Last week, a friend of my parents died at the age of 48. He actually already had the release papers signed of the hospital, but then died in the last night he had to stay in the hospital (without being monitored of course, since he actually was already 'free'). He chocked they say, something with his lungs. It's a damn shame, since it wasn't anything, which was difficult to cure. My father asked me to take some photographs of the grave a day after the funeral...
They saw me taking pictures of the grave and wanted me to take one of them – sorry for cropping the feet.
It was at the graveyard Sihltal. I didn't know Zurich actually had such a big graveyard, it's got his own area map! (Kinda reminds me of the Père Lachaise in Paris.)
Still not being in the mood to be photographed...such a difficult girl. (The afternoon before the incident with that car on the Bahnhofstrasse happened).
One last frame from Zurich...
Hope it wasn't too boring, haha. Thanks for reading, hope you're all well!
Your photographs are never boring Pascal! I really like the photograph of the shirts on the awshing line. And wow Switzerland really does look like a postcard image! The view out of the window is amazing. Cows walking down the street, that made me laugh. Yes only city folk would find it interesting, probably.
The view and image from your window were wonderful; you don't get "that" in a big city.. or anywhere in the US, I've been.. the damp street makes that image really lovely! -Cassie
Faaaar from boring! Its great looking at your pictures... You know, I was born in Switzerland... more precisely Montreux. I left when I was 4 and never went back. Your pictures remind me of just how stupid I am to not have gone back. I love them all, especially the herd in town and your friend smoking.
thanks, mate! aaah, montreux. It's nice there, not too much going on there, but still, a nice place there. have you ever been back in Switzerland since then? what trip? hehe
Nice look of the trix. I'm trying to get that mood through Allien Skin plug in for Photoshop, but nothing compares to this. Interesting photos and story.
aloha! Zurich airport was a big blur! although i do remember i did stop and stare!! ..and then quickly scurried away because i noticed people noticing me staring at what they probably thought was quite a mundane airport! ( i also took airport pics and ariel views that were for a novelty factor! haha )...and your houses are quite surreal! and the trees look so unreal, like they look like little plastic trees?..!! lol xxx
Yo amigo! jus got home (how sad i as soon as i get back im catching up with the internet circuit! haha) you'll never guess what but i was literally pondering over Zurich just 2hours ago (jus got home now) and my luggage is stranded in your homeland!!
